Served in the Revolution as Corporal on Muster Roll of Capt. Nathaniel Healy's com. Col Larned's regiment dated 8/1/1775 enlisted 5/10/1775 servied 2 months , 3 weeks, 5 days; also on return of said company dated at Rozbury Camp 10/6/1775
He was one of the "Minute Men" in the battle of Lexington, Bunker Hill and other conflicts. Soon after the war he moved to eastern New York and bought one thousand acres of land in Washington county
