Taken from entry for Daniel Matson by Elaine Matson Reschke:
Daniel Matson, son of John Matson, Sr. and Margaret (name uncertain), was born about 1712, probably in Upper Merion, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He married Amy Williams, daughter of John Williams of Blockley County, about 1737. Amy's parents were from UnyLelant, Cornwall, England.
Little is known about Daniel and Amy. It is known, however, that they had at least one child, a son named John Matson who was born about 1743 and who later became a Rev. War Patriot. (PA Archives, Ser. 6, Vol. 3, Militia, Aston, Chester Co., p 695. John's regiment.)
Daniels' son John married his first cousin Sarah Mattson (daughter of Morris Mattson) about 1768. They had nine children. (D.A.R. Records).
