About Daniel Root
Deacon Daniel, son of Daniel, grandson of Daniel He went to Franklin, NY about 1800 and died there in 1826 at the age of 80 years.
He was a prominent member of Walton Church and it is said officiated in that office. He was a man of strong mental powers and wrote some able ecclesiastical documents. He had a fine musical talent and was a leader of the church choir. He was about six feet in height and of heavy frame, somewhat bowed down in old age. His children were born in Hebron, CT.
