Daniel Standish

Research by Don Standish shows Daniel and his family on the US federal censuses from 1790 - 1850. His wife Susannah appears to have died between the 1840 and 1850 census dates.

Daniel was found in 1850 residing with Alanson Standish and his family in Java, Wyoming County, NY.

Hampshire Co.,Ma.(Later Franklin Co).

His Patentage is Not Known!! Recent D.N.A. testing has shown is Dna does not match all the other Standish lines It does seem to show a recent connection to eather the Conant or Carpenter family's. There also seems to be some evidence to show he was related or some how connected to the Miles & Jerusha(Fuller)Standish family of Ashfield,Ma. Daniel's wife Susannah was the Daughter of John & Mary King of Ashfield,Ma. It just so happens that this John King is Living next door to Miles Standish in the Original 1790 U.S. Census Tabulation. There needs to be found a Probate,Will or anyother documents on the descendants or children of this Miles Standish. He may have stayed and died in Ashfield but he may have moved over to New York,Like Daniel did. My New thought track is that Miles Had a Daughter that ether married a Conant or a Carpenter,and then she passed away young leaving behind Little Daniel with his Grandparents,and over time he took the Standish name(I have seen this in other Genealogy accounts). Daniel Standish and Susannah left the following children: 1.(Dau.)Standish,b.c.1789,Ashfield,Ma.(Undefined). 2.Child Standish,b.c.1791,Ashfield,Ma.( " " ). 3.Susannah King Standish,b.1793,Ashfield,Ma. 4.Olive Standish,b.22 Feb.,1795,Ashfield,Ma. 5.Sybil Standish,b.1798,Ashfield,Ma. 6.Anson King Standish,b.1 Apr.,1800,Cambridge,Ny. 7.Lydia Logan Standish,b.14 May 1803,Cambridge,Ny. 8.John Standish,b.1805,Ny. 9.Alba Standish,b.1808,Attica,Genesee Co.,Ny. 10.Sabrina Standish,b.1810,Attica,Ny. 11.Ambrose Logan Standish,b.1812,Tonawanda,Ny. 12.Alanson King Standish,b.12 July 1815,Attica,Ny. 13.Olma Standish,b.1819,Attica,Ny. Family then moved on to Wyoming co.,NY. later many of the children moved on to Pa.,and Michigan.
