Biography

Daniel Woodward, born 24 September 1681 in Newton, Massachusetts, was the son of John Woodward and his wife, Rebecca[1] Robbins.[2]

Daniel married Elizabeth Grundy on 27 January 1703/4 in Newton.[1] They had children, all recorded in Newton:

Esther, born 30 November 1704[1]
Elizabeth, born 1 November 1706[1]
Mary, born 7 October 1708[1]
Jonas, born 8 February 1711/2[1]
Daniel, born 14 September 1714[1]
Elizabeth died 14 February 1749/50 in Newton. Daniel remarried there on 24 January 1750/1 to Margaret Hammond,[1] the widow of Nathaniel Hammond and daughter of Ebenezer Stone. They had no children together; Margaret had twelve children from her first marriage.[2]

Daniel died 27 February 1755 in Newton, aged 73.[1] His widow, Margaret, died in Newton 8 June 1776.[2]
