D. B. Conrad Dead

He Died at His Home in Curllsville, Clarion County, on Dec. 12.

Those who learned to know D. B. Conrad during his long stay as clerk at the Ward House, at this place, will be sorry to learn of his death, which occurred at his home in Curllsville, Pa., on Sunday, Dec. 12. Mr. Conrad was of a genial disposition, kind and rather intelligent, having been possessed of good business qualities. He served as clerk at the Ward House with much satisfaction for a period of nineteen years.

Later he removed with his family to Curllsville, Pa., where he lived up to the time of his death. For some years his health gradually failed him. Finally, about seven months ago, he had an attack of paralysis, from which time he grew slowly but surely weaker until death at last claimed him. About two years ago he surrendered himself to his Divine Master and became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. The end came too soon, as he felt ready for the time when he should be called away.

D. B. Conrad was aged 57 years, 2 months and 12 days. The funeral took place on Tuesday, Dec. 14, and his body was interred at Sligo, Clarion county. Rev. Mills, of the Methodist Episcopal church, officiated, assisted by Rev. J. D. Hunsicker, of the Reformed church. A wife, two sons - Charlie and Milo - and two daughters - Alice and Ada - remain to mourn the loss of a kind husband and a loving father.
