Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Fiske and Fisk Family Being the Record of Symond Fiske, Lord of the Manor of Stadhaugh, Suffolk County, England: From the Time of Henry IV to Date, Including All the American Members of the Family. (Chicago, Ill.: The Author (Printed by Press of W. B. Conkey Company), 1896), 93.

David Fiske, s/o Nathan, b. Watertown 29 Apr 1650, m. 15 Dec 1675 Elizabeth Reed, d/o Dea. George Reed of Woburn. "Admr. was granted to widow Elizabeth Dec. 10, 1694."

[Note: compare the last statement above to this statement about David's brother Nathan found on p. 92: "admn granted to Elizabeth Fiske his widow Dec. 10 1694". Either two Elizabeth Fiskes were made administrators the same day, or Pierce applied one fact to two people. Watertown records records the death of Nathan in 1694, nothing for David. Bond, p. 214, says admin granted to David's widow 10 Dec 1694, nothing about admin of Nathan. On p. 92, Pierce says Nathan's son William chose his uncle David Fiske (this David) as guardian in 1694 and both William and his guardian were alive in 1696? In her death record of 1718, Elizabeth Fiske is called the wife, not the widow, of David Fiske?]

No such person as DANIEL Fiske [25 April 2011]

I can find no evidence that this person exists. Oh, I know an AFN says so, but that means nothing.

He is not listed in this family in Pierce's Fiske Genealogy or Bond's Watertown Genealogies. Daniel is not listed in Watertown records. Instead his brother David is listed twice. Because his name is spelled with the old-fashioned 'u' instead of a 'v', somebody with bad eyes and a blurry photocopy of the records might have turned Dauid into Daniel?

The marriages shown on this page are wrong. The married record of Elizabeth Read clearly names her husband as David. And there is a marriage record for Nathaniel and Mary Child, whose maiden name is Warren. I will merge both these marriages into the appropriate brother.

According to History of the Reed family in Europe and America by Jacob Whittemore Reed he was a "distinguished surveyor of lands."

He married Elizabeth Reed when he was 23 years old on December 15, 1675 in Watertown. Elizabeth was born on July 29, 1653 in Woburn. Her parents were Deacon George Reed and Elizabeth Jennison.

Their children included:
Nathan Fiske born about 1676 and
David Fiske born December 11, 1678.

In 1694, the widow, Elizabeth Fiske was made administratrix of her husband's estate.

Elizabeth died on March 21, 1717/18 in Watertown http://www.anamericanfamilyhistory.com/Fiske%20Watertown/FiskeDavid...
