David Leslie (1939 – 2020)

Brief overview:

David (81) who was attacked and severely assaulted on 1st September 2020 on a farm in Christiana, Harrismith, passed away from his injuries on the afternoon of 18th October 2020. David's wife Joan was left unharmed.

The attacker slipped in behind a truck coming through the security gate, and entered the home through an open door. David was outside checking the generator at the time.

The perpetrator assaulted both David and a caregiver, breaking David’s cheekbone and nose. The caregiver ran for help, and the attacker chased after her, bludgeoning her with a knobkierie. The farm foreman managed to get the attacker under control, but also sustained injuries.
