The elders who embodied the church and perform ordination were the Reverend James Noyes, Pastor of Stonington the Reverend Moses Noyes, Pastor of Lyme and the Reverend Gurdon Saltonstall, Pastor of New London . . . The messengers from neighboring churches were: Deacon Gershom Palmer of Stonington; Deacon Peck of Lyme; Daniel Witherell, Esquire and Deacon Douglas of New London and Deacon Simon Huntington of Norwich. They who offered themselves as matter for church, having been members of other churches in full communion were brought into order by giving their consent to articles of faith and renewal of Covenant. The persons were: Thomas Park, Thomas Tracy, John Richards, Hopestill Tyler, Jonathan Tracy, Samuel Leonardson, Robert Park, John Park, Caleb Forbes, Joseph Morgan, EBENEZER WITTER and John Welch.
