About Deacon George Rogers, Jr.
George Rogers, Jr., was born 1704 in Londonderry, County Antrim, Ireland. He arrived in New England with his parents at age 22. In 1742 he married Ann Ferguson in Pelham, Hillsborough, New Hampshire. He has been referred to as “Deacon”, but I cannot find a church affiliation. Their daughter Jane was born in Nova Scotia in 1766. She was 8th of ten children. In the 1790 census George was head of the household of nine people: 6 males (one under 16) and 3 females. George died and was buried in Phippsburg, Maine.
