Sarah Treat, daughter of Thomas Coleman and his first wife (name Unknown) was born before 1638 at Evesham, Worcesteshire, England. Sarah's father Thomas Coleman married his second wife, Francis (Albright) Wells, before 6 March 1638, at Evesham, Worcestershire, England, where they both lived at the time. They had one child, a daughter, Deborah. Francis brought her three children from her first marriage to Thomas Wells: Mary Wells,, Thomas Wells, and John Wells. Thomas Coleman had four children from his first marriage, one of them being Sarah Coleman, who married Richard Treat.

Biography

John Coleman is the son of Thomas Coleman and his 1st wife [1] [2] He was born 1639 in England and was christened on 7 April 1739 at Saint Margaret, Westminster, London, England.

John married, first, Hannah Porter. [3] She died on September 17, 1677 in Deerfield, Massachusetts Bay Colon.

He married, 11 March 1679, Mehitable Johnson, daughter of Humphrey Johnson, as his second wife. [4] She was the widow of Samuel Hinsdale and then the widow of John Root, both killed by Indians during King Philip's War.

John Coleman married, 11 December 1696, for his third wife, Mary Day, daughter of Deacon Robert Day and Editha Stebbins. She was the widow of Samuel Ely, and of Thomas Stebbins, Jr. [5] [6]

John died on 21 January 1711 at Hatfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts. He was 76 years old.
