John is buried at his near by farm in Dennis. I placed his memorial here with his family at the Hall Cemetery in Dennis, NY. John's father was John Hall b1611 in Coventry, Warwickshire, England. He settled in Yarmouth, Mass and died in that place on July 23, 1696. His 3rd great grandson Seth and his son Harrison Hall settled in Onondaga, Cicero, NY. They were large followers of the ME Church there. Father to Son for this family tree is John b1611; John b1638; Joseph b1663; Daniel b1699; David b1724; Seth b1751; Seth b1784 Harrison b1812; Harrison's daughter Hannah M. Hall who married Leander F. Harris in Cicero, NY. I'm John's 9th Great Granddaughter.

Grt Migration Begins, sketch of John Hall Sr: "In 1900 Edith G.L. Pecker stated that Priscilla "was probably Priscilla Bearse, daughter of Augustine Bearse of Barnstable, and born March 10 1643/4" [Gen Adv 3:97], and this suggestion has been picked up by others [Brainerd Anc 32]. This is an attractive hypothesis, but the full evidence is not seen.

Austin Beirse Priscilla About ye 10 of March 1643 [m. Dea. John Hall Jr of Yarmth. 1660.]

Added ammunition for her parentage is the Barnstable VRs transcription by Gustavus Hinckley (1822-1905) who transcribed the early vital and town records, as well as the records from the Barnstable County Probate Court that dealt with residents of the town of Barnstable. He added notations in his version [bracketed items are his additions]. The following is his transcription of the Bearse family record: [NEHGS members can see the page at: http://www.americanancestors.org/PageDetail.aspx?recordId=4114437]
