Delphinus "Del" Graf

Stockton - Delphinus ‘Del' Graf, 75, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at St. Luke Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

He was born April 5, 1927, in Ellis to Sebastian and Bridget (Hammersmith) Graf. He married Cecilia K. Dinkel on May 9, 1949, in Ellis. She preceded him in death on Feb. 10, 2001.

He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Leavenworth Steele, retiring after 25 years. He worked for J-J Oil in Stockton. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, both of Stockton.

Survivors include seven sons, Jerry, Stockton, Bob, Leavenworth, Gilbert, Kansas City, Duane, Alton, Joe, Woodston, Paul, Stockton, and Steve, Hays; six daughters, Susan McKenzie, Bonner Springs, Mary Ferguson, Lansing, Rosetta Henry, Betty Westenberger, all of Leavenworth, Sheila Melton, Wagner, S.D. and Joyce Karlin; Hays; a brother, Cletus, Woodston; a sister, Anna Dreher, Gorham; his companion, Joann Pfannenstiel, Leavenworth; 46 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Stockton; burial in Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Smith-Moore Funeral Home, Stockton.

Memorials are suggested to the church for Masses for Del and Cecilia Graf.
