Desire Gorham was the eldest daughter of :Captain John Gorham who gained fame in King Philip's War, and his wife Desire Howland. Her maternal grandparents were John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley, passengers on the Mayflower.[1]

Desire Gorham, daughter of John Gorham by Desire Howland, "born at Plymouth 2 April 1644,[2][3] married at Barnstable 7 Oct 1661."[2][4] She died 30 Jun 1700, Yarmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay, British America.[5]

She married at Barnstable on 07 October 1661 to John Hawes.[2]
