Foto del documento da Diez Weismann, who was concertmaster of radio station WQXR's chamber orchestra in the 1940's, died of a heart attack Monday in Stamford, Conn. He was 82 years old. Mr. Weismann was also assistant concertmaster of the City Center Orchestra, which was led by Leopold Stokowski, and was a soloist with the New Friends of Music in Town Hall in the late 1930's and 1940's. Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Mr. Weismann was the son of Robert Weismann, a secretary of state of Prussia. In Germany, he was assistant to Carl Flesch, the violin teacher. He also played in concerts. Mr. Weismann is survived by his widow, Ruth Rankin; his son, Dietrich; and two stepdaughters, Deborah Rankin and Carol Rankin.
