Dirck Marlett

Known as "Richard". Son of Abraham Marlet and his second wife, Elizabeth, born in Somerset County, New Jersey, subsequently christened at the Raritan Dutch Reformed Church in Somerset County, New Jersey on Oct 27, 1708. Dirck was apparently married twice during his life. He married first to a woman named Jannetje Schamp on Aug 13, 1730 at Millstone Dutch Reformed Church in Somerset County, New Jersey (Note: The Millstone Church was also known as the Saurland Church until 1801, at which time it was renamed the Harlingen Church). After his first wife passed away, Dirck married for a second time to a woman named Jannetje Vlierboom on Jan 16, ;1755 at the New York Dutch Reformed Church in New York County, New York. No issue are known from Dirck's second marriage.
