About Donna Kay Ness
Donna Kay Watson Ness was the daughter of Leo Watson and Mary Almeda Snowberger. Donna was born on January 13, 1936, in Nampa, Canyon county, Idaho, USA. She attended school in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington and graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma. She later attended Central Washington College of Education in Ellensburg, Washington. Donna and Jim (James) Ness were married January 7, 1956, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Tacoma. Jim and Donna had four children, Steven and Cynthia "Cindy" and two other children (fraternal twins, a boy, David and a girl, Shelly). The twins were born prematurely in 1965 in Bremerton, Kitsap, Washington, and died shortly after. They were buried in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington.
Although it was difficult for Donna to resume normal activities, she was determined to do everything possible to retain her independence and to lead a normal life with her husband and children. Sadly, Donna was just thirty years old when she passed away. Services were held at Central Lutheran Church in Tacoma. Donna and Jim were buried at New Tacoma Cemetery.
Jim, Donna's husband, lost his wife, his two infant children and both of his parents, Sigurd and Mable Ness, in the short span of three years. He later remarried but that marriage didn't last. His children with Donna, Steve and Cindy, were raised by their father and grandparents Leo And Mary Watson.
