Donna Elaine Winters

Donna Winters, age 85, of American Fork, Utah, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2008 surrounded by loved ones at her side.

She was the last-born child of Henry William and Olive Ritchie Cleverly on April 22, 1923. She married Dean G. Winters in Coalville, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She loved music and life, playing the piano and singing. Most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a faithful Latter-day Saint and she served in many callings. Donna and Dean served an LDS mission at British Columbia, Canada. She endured many trials and illnesses in her life. She took care of her sweetheart, for more than 60 years, since he was wounded at Iwo Jima. She always had a positive attitude and uplifted us all! She spent her last years being taken care of by her loving children. We will forever be grateful for her example of faith, hope and charity!

She is survived by her husband and their three sons, John (Sharma) of Lehi; David (Kathy) of South Jordan; and Brad of Pleasant Grove; and daughters-in-law, Norma and Debra; 19 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren with two more on the way. She was the last surviving child and preceded in death by her son, Dean G. Winters Jr. "Mickey".

Funeral Services will held be held Monday, June 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 S. (Cottonwood Heights). A Viewing will be held at the same location from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to Services. Interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
