Mrs. Wieneke Dies At Auburn
Councilman's Mother in Michigan 70 Years.
Mrs. Dora Otto Wieneke, 84, widow of Otto Wieneke and mother of Councilman Eric F. Wieneke, died Wednesday night at the Auburn home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Huber. She had been a resident of Michigan for 70 years and had lived in Saginaw since 1936.
Dora Otto was born Feb. 7 1856 in Germany, and came with her parents to Detroit 70 years ago, living there until 1936. She was married in Detroit June 6, 1881 to Mr. Wieneke, who died Sept 16, 1924. She leaves four sons and three daughters, Mrs. Reuben M. Staffeld and Eric F. Wieneke of Saginaw, Richard F. Wieneke of Bay City, Otto C. Wieneke of Midland, Ernest A. Wieneke of Sault St. Marie, Mrs. Minna D. Wieneke of Detroit, and Mrs. Huber of Auburn.
The funeral will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the home of her son, Eric F. Wieneke, 16[9?]0 Brockway, Rev. Henry W. Ficher will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Detroit. Detroit friends may see Mrs. Wieneke at Woodlawn chapel from 2 until 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
