Passed away Monday evening, June 30, 1975, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Saginaw after a short illness, Age 88 years. He was born June 25, 1887. He married Miss Axcy Catlin June 28, 1933. She survives him. He was a veteran of World War I having served with the U.S. Air Force. He was a retiree of the Ford Motor Sales in Saginaw. Surviving besides his wife are one son, Billy C. Wiencke, Freeland; one granddaughter, Sandra Dee Wiencke, Freeland, two sisters, Elsa Stafford, Sault Ste. Marie, Canada; Mrs. Gertrude Hubert, Auburn.
Funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Taylor Funeral home in Freeland. Rev. Max Weeks will officiate with burial in Laporte Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
