"Good Neighbor" Letter
Mrs. Huber helps others
She is one of the very few people who is deserving for the name "Good Neighbor."
She has raised four sons of her own not only raising her sons, but also she has fostered many other children who have had no home. She has during her lIfe cared for, loved and brought these children up as she did her very own. All this was done from the goodness of her soul.
She is the most capable and efficient person that I have ever known. She is always ready to help in case of sickness or need.
Very few days ever pass without finding her writing letters of local news to the boys that she has befriended that are now in the armed forces.
Through the years, giving material help and a mother's love to deserving one's. She will always be a true neighbor.
That is why I would like to nominate Mrs. Gertrude Huber for the "Good Neighbor of Auburn"
