About Doris Martha Howton
The Star-Mirror, Moscow, Idaho, July 12, 1917: "Doris Martha Howton, the two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Howton of Kahlotus, Wash., died [Friday, July 6] morning at the home of Homer E. Estes, county auditor, in this city. The child is believed to have died from a poisoned bite received from an insect. Mrs. Howton is a sister of Mr. Estes. Funeral services will be held [Saturday] at 1:30 o'clock at the Estes home, 807 South Jefferson street. Rev. Robert Warner will conduct the services. The burial will take place at the Buchanan cemetery near Cornwall."
Inscription: He shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom. Isaiah XI, 11. Children of John & Alice Howton.
