Military:

• Ninian Beall Edmonston served in Revolutionary War as shown in the Archives of Maryland, Vol. 18, page 382. "Drafts from the classes for filling up the quota of men from Prince Georges County, Ninian Edmonston, July 13, 1781." There is no record, apparently, in regard to the length of his service or in what actions he was engaged, if any, but it is said that he served in a Maryland Militia Company under General Howard.
