Dorothy Conkling

Dorothy, parents unknown, born say 1615, died say 1657. Married 1) Robert Rose of Easthampton 1633 2) Anaias Conklin (3rd wife) in 1653; their child was Hester, born 1654.

She was not the wife of Robert Rose, Indian Fighter

Robert Rose lived in Southampton in 1644.

Children of Robert Rose & Dorothy, born between 1633 & 1652:

• Thomas
• John
• Samuel
• Mary and
• Jonathan

Thomas Rose, the eldest son went to Southampton, and sold his father's estate in East Hampton to George Miller, December 19 1665. Jonathan went to Brookhaven.

Hester, b. about 1654, evidently the child of a third wife, who was Dorothy, widow of Robert Rose of Easthampton. She m. Capt. Samuel Mulford, eldest son of Justice John Mulford.
Page 142: Robert Rose reached Easthampton by 1648. He was living on 13 May 1651, but by 10 June 1652 his wife Dorothy was a widow.
