https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Dabney-209
Dorothy Dabney was born about 1684, the daughter of Cornelius Dabney and his 2nd wife Susanna (Swann) Dabney. She was unmarried when she was named one of Cornelius Dabney's 4 children and heirs in his 1699 Will.[1]
She married, at about 17 years old, to William Anderson between her father's Will of 1699 and April 25, 1701, when she was named with her husband as recipients of 179 1/2 acres of land lying in St. John's Parish in Pamunkey neck in King & Queen County, Virginia, when her father's estate was settled. They married in 1700 in New Kent County, English Colony of Virginia. The couple had the following children:
- Elizabeth Anderson b: ABT 1700 in New Kent County, Virginia
- Susannah Anderson b: ABT 1702 in New Kent County, Virginia
- Dabney Anderson b: BET 1704 AND 1710 in New Kent Co. VA
- Sarah Anderson b: ABT 1706 in New Kent County, Virginia
- Ann Anderson b: ABT 1708 in New Kent County, Virginia
- Mary Anderson b: BET 1708 AND 1714 in New Kent Co. VA
- Judith Anderson b: BET 1710 AND 1714 in New Kent Co. VA
- William Anderson b: AFT 1716 in New Kent County, Virginia
William Anderson died in 1717 in King William County, Virginia.
Dorothy (Dabney) Anderson remarried to James Trice III in 1718 in Gloucester County, Virginia Colony. They had 2 sons:
- John Trice, b: 1719 in King William Co., Virginia
- William Trice, b: ca. 1730 in King William Co., Virginia Colony
Dorothy (Dabney) Anderson, Trice died in King William County in 1742. Her exact date of death is not known, as most civil records for the time and place have been lost or destroyed.

"The William ANDERSON and Dorothy DABNEY you cite certainly seem to be the couple of the same names cited by Rubyann, and that they had among their issue sons named William and Dabney and a daughter named Sarah seems beyond dispute. It also seems certain that William ANDERSON's widow Dorothy DABNEY married James TRICE, that James TRICE became the administrator of the estate of his step-son Dabney ANDERSON, and that among the legatees of Dabney's estate were his sister Sarah ANDERSON and her husband John ASHBURN."
