About Mary Carr
Not the same as Mary Massie
Mary Dabney was born to Cornelius and Susannah Dabney January 22, 1688, in the part of New Kent County, Virginia that is now Hanover County.
She married Major Thomas Carr Jr. in 1704, probably in Hanover County, since that was where her father lived. He was born in 1678 to Thomas Carr Sr. and Mary (Garland) Carr of Topping Castle in an area in New Kent County that was later included in King and Queen County, then King William County, and finally Caroline County.
Thomas Jr. and Mary had four children: Thomas III, born 1705; John, born December 26, 1706; Agnes born 1712; and Sarah, born November 14, 1714.
Thomas died May 29, 1737/38 aged about 59/60, and Mary died September 7, 1748
