Dorothy Bedell married Edward Burwell.[1][2] Edward wrote his will 18 October 1626, leaving Dorothy with young children.

Dorothy was remembered in her father's will receiving one hundred pounds.[2]

Dorothy second husband was Roger Wingate, they sailed to Virginia with her children. Roger died in 1641, seven years later Dorothy deeded all of the Wingates rents to her son Lewis. It appears that he was her only living heir.[2]

Roger had been a partner with Edward Kingswell in a venture to plant a colony in Carolina in 1633."
