Dr. Henry H. (Heinrich) Exl

The ship manifest for the "Friesland" refers to him as "Henne Exl", age 10, when he arrived in the U.S. with his mother, 17 December 1896. When he registered for the World War I draft on 10 September 1918, Dr. Henry H. Exl indicated that he was born on 15 April 1885 and that he was a naturalized citizen of the U.S. He also stated that he was a dentist, that he was a resident of 5914 Longfellow Ave., Cleveland, Ohio, and that his next-of-kin was his father, Morris Exl, at the same address.

In 1942, Dr. Henry H. Exl was living at 2644 EmmettStreet in Chicago. His dentistry office was located at 3117 Logan St., Chicago, and he listed as his next-of-kin his nephew, Herbert L. Excell of 3537 W. Dickens Street, Chicago.
