Jefferson M. Mason was the youngest son of Willis E. Mason and Ann B. Henderson.
He married Alta Deason on May 23, 1889 at Johnson County, Texas. They were the parents of daughters Annie Jewel, Juanita, Lalla (1893-1894), Lalla Rhode (b. 1898) and Jeffe.
Jefferson was a physician. His death notice was published in the Journal of American Medicine:
"Jefferson M. Mason, M.D. Medical Department Arkansas University, Little Rock, 1888, died at his home in Floresville, Texas, October 12, from diabetes."
