Dr Marie-Lou Cloete (1938 - 2005)

Brief overview:

Marie-Lou (67), and her husband, Dr Christopher de Meede Cloete (74), both Psychologists, were murdered in their home in Florauna, Pretoria, on 15th April 2005. Police spokesperson Inspector Anton Breedt said Christo was stabbed with a sharp object in his upper body, and Marie-Lou was apparently strangled. Breedt said the couple's daughter, Christine de Beer drove to their house, and made the horrific discovery. Police said the couple's Toyota Camry and trailer were found in Soshanguve on Sunday. The car had been stripped of several parts. Neighbour Danie Josling said it seemed the murderer(s) broke into the house via the backyard. He said the couple erected the fences after a previous break-in.
