 Born Joseph Homan Baldwin (but known professionally and legally as Maurice), he was the 5th child born to Dr Harrison Baldwin and Abby Taylor. Maurice was born July 19,1869 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He studied dentistry and practiced in Jamaica, Boston and Manchester NH.

Maurice (pronouced as in Maurice Chevalier, the actor), was a dentist like a great number of family members.....he died as a result of exposure with pneumonia resulting. He died Apr. 23, 1914 in Pittsfield, New Hampshire and buried at South Danbury Cemetery, Danbury, Merrimack Co., New Hampshire.

• 1910 census: Maurice Baldwin, aged 40, in Manchester NH. His mother Abbie A, divorced, resides with him in Manchester, NH. He is also one of the 'Dentists" noted in the Grandfathers Letter :
