Dr Nathan Davis III was born in 1899. He was the son of Nathan Davis Jr.. A Harvard and Rush Medical college graduate, he was a specialist in internal medicine on the staff of Wesley Hospital, Chicago. President of the Chicago Academy of Sciences from 1939 to his decease, he was also Professor Emeritus at the Northwestern University Medical School.
Married to Cornelia Fairbanks Carpenter; father of four sons. Onetime brother-in-law of actress and writer Louise Brooks (1906-1985).
He passed away in 1956.
