Augusta Chronicle Newspaper, Augusta, GA, 14 Feb. 1807: "On Saturday the 17th January last, Samuel S. Starnes of this place, was admitted an honorary member of the Philadelphia Medical Society."

22 Aug. 1807: "Doctor Starnes, having at length settled himself in Augusta, tenders his services to the public in each branch of his profession. He has taken a house four doors below Fox's Corner, where he intends keeping an assortment of MEDICINES, etc."

22 Jul 1818: "Any person having business with the subscriber during his absence of two or three months, will please call on Ebenezer Starnes. Samuel S. Starnes. July 22 st."

20 Sep 1823: "To Rent, And possession is given 1st October next, four Store Houses, on Center Street, belonging to Doctor S. S. Starnes. Thomas Flournoy Aug 9 127 tf"
