Weston Vernon Dies at Home In Logan Saturday
LOGAN -- Weston Vernon, 68, well known Logan businessman, died Saturday at 12:15 p.m. at his home following a lingering illness,
He was born February 24, 1873 in Blaine County, Kentucky, a son of William & Cynthia Moody Vernon. In 1888 he moved with a sister to Manassa, Colorado and a year later to Utah. In 1885 he came to Logan and became professor of English at the old Brigham Young College. He retired from this position after 15 years to manage his personal interests which included the building of homes development of property and business enterprises in Logan.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters. Weston Vernon Jr. of New York City; Clinton D. Vernon and Mrs. Lais V. Hales of Logan, Mrs. Aldyth Morris of Honolulu, Mrs. Frances V. Fagerlund of Hawaii National Park, T. H. and Mrs. Marjorie Smith of San Francisco, California; 12 grandchildren and five brothers and sisters, William P. and Andrew J. Vernon and Mrs. Lillie V. Singleton of Vernal, Mrs. Elizabeth Timothy of Roosevelt and Mrs. Martha W. Curtis of Salt Lake City.

Peter Weston Vernon, 68 died March 1, 1941, of hypertensive heart disease, at his residence in Logan, Cache County, Utah. His occupation was professor and business.
He was born to Cynthia Moody and William Vernon. He married Frances "Fanny" Maughan November 23, 1898. He was predeceased by his wife.
At the time of his death his residence was 123 East 2nd North in Logan, Utah.
Lindquist & Sons handled the funeral arangements. Interment was made in the Logan City Cemetery.
