About Druzzilla Viola Crandell

Druzzilla Viola Campbell, the daughter of W.M. and Hannah Campbell, was born in Jennings County, Indiana, January 28, 1867, and departed this life May 29, 1929, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. May Jensen, at Hastings, Nebr., being 63 years, 4 months and 1 day old.

She was the oldest of a family of four children. Her girlhood days were spent near Hege, Indiana, until she was united in marriage to O.A. Crandell February 16, 1885. Immediately after her marriage they moved to Nuckolls County, Nebraska where they have since made their home. To this union were born twelve children of which seven are still living: Frank of Ogallala, Joe of Nelson, Mrs. May Jensen of Hastings, Mrs. Merle Hale of Red Cloud, Albert, Harley and Marie at home at Nelson.

Deceased leaves to mourn her departure besides her husband and the children, two daughters-in-law and fourteen grand children, one sister, Mrs. Lyda Santieben of Columbus, Indiana, one brother Lenna Campbell and one half-sister Mrs. Bettie Ferrenbrug of Elizabethtown, Inda.

She united with the Baptist Church at Oak, Nebr., in 1886. Then later she united in the Christian Church at Angus in 1921, of which she still remained a member at the time of her death. She was also a member of the Degree of Honor and the Royal Neighbor lodges.

Funeral was held from the Angus Christian Church Saturday, conducted by L.W. Myers, pastor of the Nelson Christian Church.
