Clarence E. “Dunny” Maas, 84, of Quincy, Ill., and formerly of Mobridge, died on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at Sunset Home in Liberty, Ill. He was born on June 10, 1930, in Quincy, the son of Elmer J. and Coletta (Wellman) Maas. He was a truck driver and had also worked in farming. Clarence is survived by his children, Donald Maas, Mark Maas, Larry Maas, Bonnie Swanson and Connie Lamtz; siblings, Gerald Maas, Melvin Maas, Robert Maas, Thomas Maas, Elmer Maas, Rosemary Benz, Florence Smith, Clara Neisen, Lucille Nieders and Barbara Hilgenbrinck; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Ronnie and Johnny Maas; brother, Virgil; and sisters, Loretta Klauser and JoAnn Dreyer. A memorial service was held Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Duker and Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy.

Preceded in death by parents, two sons Ronnie & Johnny Maas, a brother Virgil, sisters: Loretta Klauser and JoAnn Dreyer.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Greenmount Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Sunset Home for their Elevator Fund.
