One of the thirty original settlers of Oxford in 1713.
The first settlement of Oxford was in 1686 by French Huguenots fleeing from France when the Edict of Nantes was revoked. They had been trying to find English settlers, but no one wanted to live in the distant wilderness. In 1696 a family was murdered by a roving band of hostile indians. This attack broke up the colony and the settlers returned to Boston.
In 1713 they drew lots to see who got which house lot, Ebenezer drew number 7, a farm formerly owned by the Boudinot or Bouderie Family, who was a blacksmith and had returned to Boston.
