At the time of his burial, the cortage moved from his residence in Frederick St., Upper Goulburn St., at 3 o'çlock

Note: The Cornwall Chronicle, Launceston, Saturday 4th. August 1866 Legislative Council Report Notices Mr. Abbott to move on Tuesday, 14th instant, that there be layed on the table of this Council, the correspondence relating to an order for 300 acres of land, ordered to the late Mr. Edgar Luttrell by Lieut-Governor Arthur, in the year 1824, in consideration of his capturing and bringing in thirty of the aboriginal natives from the East Coast



There are several references in newspaper articles (The Mercury etc) to Edgar being a captain of Her Majesty's Customs (service) and in a highly respectable position.
