Biography
Edmund was a son of Joseph Chandler, blacksmith of Duxbury, Massachusetts, born about 1670. He was married to Elizabeth Alden. They resided in Duxbury. Edmund Chandler "probably died between 4 April 1715 and 28 September 1717."[1] A deed dated 2 July 1711, was signed by Edmund and Elizabeth (Alden) Chandler. This deed was acknowledged 8 Oct 1717, by the other signers but not by Edmund. On 28 Sep 1717 as second deed was signed only by Elizabeth without Edmund implying that Edmund was dead at this time.[2] It is unusual that probate took place so much later.
