. Edmond left Linton High School with 18 of his classmates to enlist in WWII. Edmond enlisted in the Navy 20 July 1943 and went to training at Great Lakes and New London, Connecticut Submarine School. He served on the USS Bashaw, USS Nautilus and USS Plunger in the Pacific and was honorably discharged 22 December, 1945.

He was owner of Cash Register Service and Sales in Terre Haute, Indiana, having trained at NCR in Dayton, Ohio.

Edmond was in Scottish Rite and Zorah Shrine and also American Legion, VFW, Moose and Elks. 

On retirement, he moved to Florida
