Edward “Eddie” Nahquaddy Sr.

WALTERS Funeral for Edward "Eddie" Nahquaddy Sr. 75, Walters, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel, Lawton, with the Rev. Melton Otis and William Hicks Boyiddle officiating.

Burial will be at a later date.

Mr. Nahquaddy Sr. went to be the Lord Wedesday, Sept. 21, 2011, in Norman, with his family by his side.

Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel.

He was born Sept. 5, 1936, in Lawton, to Albert Edward Nahquaddy and Victoria Motherme Nahquaddy. He graduated from Temple High School in 1957. He was an avid OU fan, loved to gourd dance, was a welder, played bass guitar in a band in the 1960s, was a surveyor, and a coach for women's softball.

He is survived by his children: Edward Nahquaddy Jr. and wife, Sherry, of Wichita Falls, Texas; Lance Jace Nahquaddy, of Carnegie; and Sunee Nahquaddy and companion, Luis Lopez, of Lawton; 11 grandchildren: Nathanal Nahquaddy, Jordon Nahquaddy, Walker Nahquaddy, Vance "Gah-hoo" Nahquaddy, Ashley Nahquaddy, Amy Nahquaddy, Kimberly Nahquaddy, Shade Nahquaddy, Angelina Lopez, Julie-Rose Lopez, Mico Lopez; special nephews and nieces: Victor Youngman, Terry Geimausaddle, Kenneth Geimausaddle and Barbara Ann Tahchawwickah; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ila Toppah; grandson, Michael Wallace Nahquaddy Lopez; brothers: Edward Albert Nahquaddy Jr., Nathan Nahquaddy and Robert Holder; and sisters: Rose Nahquaddy and an infant sister.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. today and Saturday at the funeral home. Friday, September 23, 2011
