Edward Haskins

Edward Haskins [3522.4.5.4.2] (-1789) married Martha Finney in Amelia County 26 June (bond) 1766. He was head of a household of 10 whites and 20 blacks in Powhatan County in 1783.

Edward died in Powhatan County (will dated 8 April 1789 , recorded 16 July 1789). He left his wife, Martha, his plantation, livestock, “Negroes,” and other property. He identified the following children and appointed executors his wife, Francis Goode, and brother Creed Haskins.

• 1. Creed H. Haskins [3522.4.5.4.2.1] married Martha Chastain Ogilby in Amelia County 25 November 1794. See their family
• 2. Robert Haskins [3522.4.5.4.2.2] married Martha Field Archer in Powhatan County 30 October (bond) 1809. They resided in Chesterfield County.
• 3. John Haskins [3522.4.5.4.2.3].
• 4. Mary Page Haskins [3522.4.5.4.2.4] married Littleberry Mosby Jr. in Powhatan County 23 November 1789. He represented Powhatan County in the Virginia House of Delegates (1802-4).
• 5. Aaron Haskins [3522.4.5.4.2.5].
