About Edward Lane, patriot

Both his parents died before he was of age. (We might wonder in whose house he was raised? perhaps in the Evans/Davis household? See Mary Evans , who was his grandmother, wife of the prominent judge Owen Evans).... hence the place name "Evansburg"? (speculative)
On the other hand, there was an Episcopal. C of E & SPG minister by the nam e of Evan Evans who helped found the parish of Saint James Perkiomen. See the <panoply> project

~• his wife's first cousin, Mordecai Evans, had the distinction of a special guest on the night of September 19, 1777: His Excellency General George Washington (read more at Mordecai's profile )

Only Child... Both Edward and wife, Anne (Evans) are buried at St. James Episcopal Church, Evansburg, PA

  2. Abigail Couch
  3. Jane Davis
