"Death of Mrs. E. Ordidge. The funeral took place at Uttoxeter Cemetery on Wednesday of Mrs. R.M. Ordidge (56), wife of Mr. E. Ordidge, of Kingston Avenue, Stafford, who died on Monday morning, following a long illness. Deceased was a native of Abbots Bromley, and until they moved to Stafford Mr. and Mrs. Ordidge lived in Uttoxeter for many years. Mr. Ordidge was employed in the engine shop at the Leighton Ironworks, Uttoexter, and was formerly a well-known racing cyclist. He is an accomplished clarinet player and was a member of Messrs. Bamford's Military Band for many years."
