Edward S. orner, 84, died at his home in Arendtsville Tuesday evening at 9:45 o'clock from infirmities. He had been confined to his bed for 3 months. Mr. Orner was born in Franklin Township, & was a son of the late Jonas & Amelia (Grammer) Orner. He had lived in Adams County all his life. He & his brother, Ira, were in the butchering business together in Arendtsville for about 14 years & then he did general orchard work on the Raffensperger fruit farm for 38 years, retiring 4 years ago. The deceased was a member of the Evangelical & Reformed Church at Arendtsville & the Arendtsville Fire Company. Golden Wedding Day Last Week His widow, the former Zora Trosle, is among the survivors. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary on 16th February. There are 2 children surviving, Miss Evelyn M. Orner, at home, & Mrs. Joseph Rebert, of McKnightstown, & a brother, Ira S. Orner, of Arendtsville. Funeral services at the Bender Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with his pastor, the Rev. Nevin Frantz, & Dr. Norman Wolf, Gettysburg, officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville. Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday evening after 7 o'clock. Gettysburg Times
