Edward was born [1]about 1640. Edward Taylor ... He passed away in 1705.
Edward Tayler (sic) and Mary Merll (sic) were married February 19, 1663, at Barnstable, Massachusetts.[1][2] The image is of the Vital records and lists their marriage and the birthdates of their children. It seems to confirm the use of 'Tayler' as opposed to 'Taylor'
Edward Tayler died February 15, 1704 at Barnstable, Massachusetts.[1][3]

Will: Dated 23 Oct 1700, proved April 4, 1705: Text (partial) is as follows (from Barnstable Probate red vol 2:191; NGSQ 61:108-9; Cape Cod Gen Soc Bull XVIII(4) Dec 1992 p.98]:
October ye 23rd 1700 And then Edward Taylor of Barnstable...Item: I given...unto my son Isaac one third part of my shear in ye common or undivided lands as it is now stated; to him and his heirs forever. Item: I given unto my son Abraham and to his heirs and assigns forever my housing and all my lotted land and marsh, only reserving to my two daughters Sarah and Mehitable ye Liberty which I given to them of dwelling in the house and allso keeping their household stuffe in sd house untill my sd son shall bee one and twenty years old, if they do not marry. And they two shall shear equally with Abraham in ye profits of sd land and marsh during his minority if they do not marry. I allso further give to my sd son one third part of my shear in ye common, or undivided land, to wit my personal right as it is stated, to him and his heirs forever. And my Will is that my sd son Abraham shall have all my tools or implements that belong to husbandry or managing of a farm and that he do pay six shillings to my son in current pay. Item: I give to my son Jacob six shillings and release him from all debts due to me. Item; I give to my two daughters, Sarah and Mehitable, my two beds and all my utenseles or household stuffe, except my still.... I give to my daughter Anne Howland... Item: I give... to my two sons John and Abraham my two musquets and Abraham shall have his choice and he shall have my sword, bandaliers and ammunition. Item: I give...to my daughter Mary forty shillings...Item: I give... to my two daughters Anne Howland and Experience Annable 40 shillings apiece... is not disposed of... Item: I give ot my three youngest children: Abraham, Sarah is that my son Abraham shall have all ye quick stock which I shall leave at my decease and shall pay all ye above mentioned legacyes to his sisters and I do ordaine and appoint Deacon Job Crocker and my son Isaac my exectors of this my Last Will and Testament. Finally, my Will and meaning is that if anyone or more of my children shall not peaceably take up with what is herein given him or them, then he or them shall have three shilling apiece payed and so shall forever be excluded from any further Claime to any part of my Estate." Signed, my mark, Edward (X) Taylor. Witnessed by Daniel and Mary Parker. [Signed] Edward Taylor, his mark & seal 4 Apr 1705 then Insign Daniel Parker and Mary Parker his wife, personally appeared and said they saw him sign. 2:193 Inventory Taken 6 Mar 1705/5. Total 98.06.05. 5 Apr 1705 then Isaac Taylor, eldest son and one of the executors appeared and swore to the truth of the inventory."
