"Mrs. Lucas (Effie Vivian) Plancich Sr., 63 of Dockton on Maury Island, died Monday after a brief illness. Born in Detroit, Mrs. Plancich moved to Dockton in 1919.
She was a member of the Dockton Orthopedic Guild, which she helped to found in 1934, and of the Dockton Community Church Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband; eight sons, Lucas Jr. and Robert, both of Burton, Jerry, of Dockton, Russell, of Vashon, Richard, Gordon and Mitchell, all of Seattle, and Allen, of Anchorage, Alaska; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Fields, of Dockton, Mrs. Doyle Buchanan, of Arlington, and Mrs. Lyle Duda of Sheyenne, N.D.; a brother, David McKay, of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Andrew Westrom, of Lakebay; and 37 grandchildren.
Services are announced by Garvin Funeral Home, Vashon."
