Medlands: Scotland, Kings:
Lady EGIDIA Stewart (-1417 or after).
Accounts dated 1405 record payments “per regem...de custuma...lane de crescentia terre Galwidie, vallium de Nith, Anandie, vel de Douglasdale” to “Egidie filie sue...per literas regis...et comitisse de Douglas de recepto” and dated 1406 from wool in the same lands “per quondam regem Egidie filie sue”[1493].
Accounts dated 1409 and 1410 record payments “pro apparamento suo” to “domine Egidie, filie domini quondam regis ultimo defuncti, ex concessione domini ducis, avunculi sui”[1494].
Accounts dated between 1410 and 1417 record other payments to “lady Egidia Stewart by receipt of Earl of Athole”[1495]. Her uncle’s involvement suggests that Egidia was in some way incapacitated.
The Peerage Egidia Stewart was the daughter of Robert III Stewart, King of Scotland and Annabel Drummond. She died, young.
Egidia Stewart was also known as Jill. Citations 1. [ S11 ] Alison Weir, Britain's Royal Family: A Complete Genealogy (London, U.K.: The Bodley Head, 1999), page 229. Hereinafter cited as Britain's Royal Family.
