Elam B. Nolt, 87, New Holland R2, died Saturday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs, Daniel W. Stauffer, with whom he had been residing.

Born in East Earl Township,he was a son of the late Isaac H. and Lydia Burkholder Nolt.

He was a retired farmer. He was the husband of the late Hattie Wilmer Nolt, who died in 1916, and the late Katie Horning Nolt who died in 1968.

He was a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church.

Surviving are four sons: Willis H. of Kutztown RD; Titus H. of East Earl R1, Ivan H. of Richland R1 and Ira H. of New Holland R1; five daughters: Lydia, wife of Ivan W. Leid., and Emma, wife of Ivan W. Shirk, both of Kutztown RD; Anna, wife of Daniel W. Stauffer of New Holland R2 ; Eva, wife of Harvey Z. Hoover of Ephrata R3; Lucy, wife of Earl H. Martin of Penn Yan, N.Y.; 76 grandchildren; 112 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Adam B. and Harry B., both of East Earl R1; and two sisters: Minnie, wife of Daniei H. Zimmerman of Millmont, and Katie, wife of Elam E. Zimmerman of Ephrata R3.
