Biography
From https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/62560021
Daughter of Abigail and Nicholas Wilmot of Devonshire England.
First wife of Robert Adams; they married about 1630 at Devonshire, England.
Their first two children, John and Joanna were born in England and came with them to Ipswich at Massachusetts Bay in 1635.
Her husband was a tailor and farmer, but little is known of Eleanor. By 1638, they had moved to Salem Village, where they had ten acres in the western part of the township. Their home was situated on a narrow strip of farmland about halfway between the North River and the South River, listed as lot number thirty two.
In April of 1650, this land was sold and the family, now grown to eight, moved to Newbury.
Mother of John, Joanna Elinor, Abraham, Elizabeth, Mary, Issac, Jacob, Hannah and Jacob II.
Alternate birthdate 1610 and birthplace Devonshire, England.
Burial
Eleanor was 72 when she died.
